SPcam

SPCam^TM is a third generation ultra-violet (UV) SO₂ camera (Burton, Prata and Platt, 2015) specifically designed for easy use in the field, at industrial plants, harbours or ports to quickly measure SO₂ column abundances. The camera’s patented hardware design and software permits rapid assessment of SO₂ exceedances using ultra-violet (UV) light by remote sensing at distances of 10’s of metres to a few kilometres.

SPCam can be used to determine emission rates from ships and using our special chart we can determine thresholds for S-content in bunker fuel used by shipping.
